Telemarketing Laws

Telemarketing, especially telemarketing to the consumer, is heavily regulated at both the federal and state level. Anyone wishing to market via the telephone needs to be familiar with the relevant laws.

The federal policy on telemarketing is enforced by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and the FTC (Federal Trade Commission).
